Hello everyone:

The Border Curling Club, (bilingual) needs new members and players. This includes men and women for a great team sport that can keep you active from 10 to 90 years old. These new members will be able to take advantage of our modern facilities at a very low cost. The Border Curling Club will offer for the 2008-09 season the following membership options:

A - Regular Membership for only $150.00 plus tax for first year members, $112.50 plus tax for intermediate (age 20-28), $40.00 plus tax for juniors (under 20) and $200.00 plus tax for other members. You will be able to participate in all of the Club's activities:

Monday night ladies' league - around 20 games

Tuesday night men's league - around 20 games

Thursday night Industrial league - around 20 games

Friday night Mixed league - around 20 games Tournaments (bonspiels) - a small fee is required for participation Pick-up games - Monday morning for men, Thursday morning for mixed Curling clinics, suppers, parties, etc ...

B - Social Member - for only $40.00 plus tax, you will have access to all of the club's non-ice
activities.

C - Commercial (Wednesday night league). This new league and class of membership is being established to introduce new players who have no experience into the game of curling for only $40.00 plus tax for the season. This league will allow new players to learn the game with other new players who may be co-workers. These members will enjoy the same privileges as regular members except they will not be able to participate in the other leagues. There will be about 20 games in the season. You are only required to bring a clean pair of shoes. The club will supply' new brooms and sliders. You can create your own Company team with 4 players and an alternating spare if possible. If you can't find enough players, let us know and we will find a team for you. At the start of the season, a clinic will be held to provide you with the techniques and rules of the game. Curling will provide you with both exercise and an opportunity to meet interesting people. You will find that the existing members of the club are very friendly and there is a spirit of sportsmanship within our game. There is never any criticism towards a player who does not play well.
