The Border Curling Club invited the local industries and municipalities to participate in a one day bonspiel on October 14th. Three granite companies (Imperial, Dominion and Rock of Ages), IGA, SQ, Municipality of Ogden and two teams from the Municipality of Stanstead Est responded to the invitation. The competition was close and a team from Stanstead Est just edged out the Imperial Granite team to take the trophy. The Curling Club hopes that this will become an annual event and will get more participation from the local industries. The Municipality of Stanstead Est will have the opportunity to display the trophy purchased from Picture This on Granite in their Town Hall for the year to come.

Le 14 octobre dernier, le Club de Curling Border a lancé une invitation aux industries locales ainsi que les municipalités environnantes pour participer à un tournoi d’une journée. Trois compagnies de granite (Impérial, Dominion et Rock of Ages), IGA, SQ, la Municipalité de Ogden et deux équipes de la municipalité de Stanstead-Est ont répondu à notre invitation. La compétition fut vive et une équipe de la Municipalité de Stanstead Est a coiffé de justesse l’équipe de Impérial Granite pour se mériter le trophée. Le Club de Curling espère qui ce tournoi deviendra un événement annuel et que nous aurons une participation accrue de la part des entreprises locales. La Municipalité de Stanstead-Est aura le loisir d’exposer le trophée, acheté de la compagnie Picture This On Granite, à l’hôtel de ville pendant l’année qui suit.
