The Border Curling Club held the first Emerson Humphrey Memorial Bonspiel at the curling facility in Stanstead Quebec. Emerson Humphrey was involved in the founding of the curling club in 1955, and one of the first club presidents. He was one of the clubs strongest supporters and this Bonspiel allows club members to remember the fellowship and fair play that he always encouraged. A barbeque dinner was held with a special video tribute to Emerson –“In His Own Words” recorded by Andrew Retchless - 2005.
